HilltopSecurities Ranked No. 1 Municipal Financial Advisor in Nation and Texas

Hilltop Securities Inc. today announced its ranking as the No. 1 municipal advisor in the nation based on number of deals and No. 3 based on par amount for the year ending Dec. 31, 2017.

The ranking is based on the firm’s role as financial advisor in 946 issues for a par amount of $44.19 billion.

HilltopSecurities also ranked No. 1 in the state of Texas for 2017, based on both par amount and number of issues. In the calendar year 2017, the firm served as financial advisor in 478 issues for a par amount exceeding $22.94 billion.

The 2017 rankings are nothing new to the Dallas-based broker-dealer. The firm is commonly included among the top financial advisors in the nation and has ranked as the No. 1 financial advisor in Texas for the past ten years, with 5,374 issues for a par amount exceeding $177.59 billion during that time.

For the past five years, HilltopSecurities has also led Texas sector rankings as the No. 1 financial advisor for cities, school districts, special districts and water and sewer transactions in the state.
