Market Yields Climb on Trade Hopes

The 10-year Treasury yield has quietly climbed from 1.69% at close last Thursday to 1.93% this morning, while 2’s have risen from 1.53% to 1.69% over the same period. Although some of this backup can be attributed to improved economic data and lesser bond market appeal relative to the surging stock market, the primary reason seems to be widely-held belief that a trade deal is imminent.
