DALLAS, June 10, 2025– Dallas-based Hilltop Securities Inc. (HilltopSecurities) recently wrapped up its fourth annual Hilltop Hunt by donating $50,000 to support Texas schools. In fall of 2024, the firm held the online treasure hunt providing K-12 educators across Texas with the chance to win a share of $50,000 for their districts’ education foundations, along with prizes for their classrooms.
“At HilltopSecurities we are deeply committed to supporting education, and our annual Hilltop Hunt program is a fun and interactive way in which we can give back to Texas schools and honor the teachers who have such an important impact on future generations,” said HilltopSecurities President and CEO Brad Winges.
As in previous years, the theme for the contest featured Hilltop’s mascot, Mo the Buffalo. Participants followed Mo’s tracks during the online contest as he visited his favorite landmarks around Texas. For 10 business days, participants worked to correctly solve daily riddles about Mo’s whereabouts. Contestants were then entered into a drawing to win a share of the prizes.
Five Gold Prize and 10 Silver Prize winners were announced following the contest and drawing. Each Gold Prize winner received a $10,000 donation to their school’s education foundation, or comparable eligible teacher support organization for their school, plus a pizza party for their homeroom class. The Silver Prize winners won a pizza party for their homeroom class.
HilltopSecurities executives traveled around the state to the Gold Prize winning educators and their schools to present their prize and thank them for taking part in the program and making a difference in the lives of their students.
